2026 is here and so is the snow as the iconic image of the Moelwyns shows below. What a view.

Let's get cracking then, I've at least ten pounds to shed and its urgent.

Friday 23rd January, I am cycling the Coed y Brenin Blue and then merging into one of the new gravel rides there. Get the cobwebs out and start the long haul back to fitness.

Stay the night Thursday night before or Friday after for £10pp per night and indulge in some healthy competition at the pool table and/or dart board with a hearty homemade meal.

Lift to Coed y Brenin is included: tea and cake as well at the end.

The week after, Friday 30th, I am doing the walk up the front of the Moelwyns from the Tan-y-Griseau cafe, heading up the steep old rail track, through the tunnel and into the disused slate quarry village, across the valley and back down over huge slag heaps past Cwmorfin Quarry and the stunning lake there. Beautiful.

Same offer for Thursday and Friday night accommodation. Spaces available for a lift from the Wirral on the Thursday night.

Don't miss out on the Traws Lake run on 19th April. This run gets more popular every year! Find out more below and book your spot
